We will cover; machine needles, threads and stabilizers.  Stitch placement and stitch tension.  Techniques to applique both soft and sharp inner and outer curves.  Techniques to applique inside and outside corners.  Techniques to applique points.( The most fun to do !)
You will also see lots of samples to give you ideas about where your new found skills can take you.
This is a popular course – so sign up early to reserve your place.

Thread Play | Discount Fabric WarehouseThread Play Class w/ Viv Smith

Thursday, September 13, 2018
10AM – 1PM
Cost: $20 class fee + $35 kit + Supplies
This three hour class takes a printed flower panel and transforms it into a beautiful  thread play picture.
No previous free motion experience is necessary as we simply follow the lines in the panel with sewing lines in different colored threads and inadvertently become familiar with the free motion technique.
The kit includes a choice of three flower panels with two borders already attached and sandwiched with batting and backing to allow us to start our thread play immediately in class and includes three different colored Floriani thread spools.
