Want to Learn How to Sew? Classes Starting at DFW Hilo on May 01!

Do you want to learn how to sew (or sew better)? Do you know someone who wants to learn to sew? Join our new instructor, Bo, as she teaches our introductory sewing class!

Our first 6-week session starts on Sunday, May 01, 2016 and will meet every Sunday for 6 weeks!

12PM – 3PM | Cost:  $79.95 per session

Starting from scratch, students will learn the right way to sew. People who already know a little will also benefit from this class based on professional techniques. Machinery, tools, proper stitch tension and types, threads, needles, scissors vs shears will be discussed along with measuring, marking, thread tracing, pin fitting, pattern and fabric choice. The importance of proper and timely pressing will be emphasized.

Hilo Scheduled Owner’s Classes

In our Hilo store, we have scheduled a few owners’ classes this month:

New sewing machine owners’ class New machine embroidery owners’ class New serger owners’ class
 Thurs. May 22nd, 2:00pm  Thurs. May 22nd, 3:00pm  Fri. May 23rd 2:00pm

 

We always offer these classes free of charge to customers that purchased their machine through us. If you purchased a machine elsewhere, you are still welcome to sign up, but there will be a $35 fee.

As with all classes, please register in advance, and if needed, make sure you have a supply list. Call the Hilo store [ (808)-935-1234 ] for availability or if you have any questions. 

Dare to be different!

Struggling with an advanced project? We are excited to announce a new adult sewing class in Hilo, Dare to be different!

This class will allow the student to choose the project they wish to complete, for a more individualized, advanced approach. Completion of our adult sewing class is required.

Hilo Adult Sewing Classes

Our Hilo store is happy to offer Adult Sewing classes twice a week!  With sewing instructors Cindy Renaud-Kim or Jan Kuester.

 Cost $59.95 for 5 weeks

Times:
  • Friday Mornings, 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Tuesday Evenings, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Classes are usually filled well in advance. Call the store (808)-935-1234 for availability information. Registration in person only.
